Each year the participating electric cooperatives and associate member utilities of Grand Canyon State Electric Cooperative select high school juniors for a special trip to our Nation's Capitol. If you are interested in finding out more how you could be a winner, contact your utility from the list below. Ask to speak to their Washington Youth Tour coordinator.
If you are selected, you will become part of nearly 1,400 students converging in D.C. to see the sights, learn about your government and meet each other! The Arizona contingent typically numbers around 35 students and 10 adult chaperones.
Some of the sites visited in past years include: Smithsonian Museums, Arlington National Cemetery, Mount Vernon, The Capitol Building, the Holocaust Memorial Museum and the various memorial monuments. Join us for this all-expense paid trip!
