Jim has been with GCSECA since 2000. He has worked in safety and loss control for more than 15 years. He was most recently director of loss control for the South Dakota Rural Electric Association. He was also a loss control instructor for Kansas Electric Cooperatives and a loss control consultant for Federated Rural Electric Insurance Exchange. Jim is a Certified Loss Control Professional, receiving his certification through the NRECA and National Utility Training and Safety Education Association Loss Control Internship Program conducted at the University of Nebraska in January 2000.

Responsibilities Include:

• Training schedule
• Program development
• Formulating and recommending safety and loss control policies
• Assisting member organizations in attaining NRECA Safety Accreditation
• Developing and monitoring the annual Loss Control budget
• Establishing an effective inspection program for member systems
