Duncan Valley Electric Cooperative, Inc.

Duncan Valley Electric Cooperative has management/operating agreements with a number of different companies:

  • DVEC manages and operates Duncan Rural Services Corporation, which provides natural gas service to 800 meters, with 50 miles of pipeline.
  • DVEC manages and operates Southern Greenlee County T.V. Association, a wireless cable system, serving 400 subscribers.
  • DVEC owns as a subsidiary, AZNEX Cooperative Services, which provides broadband internet service to 1800 customers in Greenlee and Graham Counties, along with the Lordsburg, NM area.

In addition, Duncan Valley Electric Cooperative offers:

  • Pre-paid Long Distance Phone Cards
  • Long Distance service through Touchstone Energy Cooperatives of Arizona
  • UPS package drop/pick-up location
  • Fax, copy, notary services
  • EasyPay system available for automatic bill payment using checking, savings, or credit cards
  • AveragePay system for 12-month rolling average account
Graham County Electric Cooperative, Inc.

Graham County Electric Cooperative also has a sister company, Graham County Utilities Inc., which serves 4,749 customers natural gas, and 1,035 customers potable water.

The programs that Graham County Electric Cooperative offers are:

  • Budget Billing Plan allows customers to average their utility bills over 12 months and pay 12 equal payments a year instead of high summer and low winter bills.
  • Sure Pay allows customers to have there bills paid automatically through a checking or savings account.

The programs that MEC offers are:

  • Good Cents energy efficient home building program
  • Mohave Electric offers the nation’s largest energy efficient building program to individuals and contractors. Mohave Electric certified Good Cents homes provide home owners lower utility bills and qualify for Energy Efficient Mortgages.
  • The High Efficiency Heat pump Rebate Program
  • Mohave Electric promotes the use of high efficiency air-to-air heat pumps. The heat pump is the ideal, least expensive to operate heating and cooling system available to our customers.
  • Ask the Expert, weekly newspaper program providing energy savings tips and advice.
  • Key Accounts Program, our Certified Key Accounts Manager works closely with the larger commercial customers. This program provides service and communications to our larger customers and helps to develop energy use strategies. This service allows these customers to reduce their energy costs without reducing productivity.
  • Budget Billing Plan allows customer to level out their electric bills. Instead of paying high summer and low winter electric bills, the Budget Plan balances the payments to 12 equal payments every year.
  • Easy Pay Plan automatic bill payment program.

  • This program is still under development.
  • Levelized Billing
  • Bills can be averaged over a year to make family budgeting manageable.
  • Weatherization Loans
  • Five percent loans through the cooperative to make homes more energy efficient.
  • Security Lighting
  • Dusk-to-dawn lighting installed and maintained through the cooperative.
  • Electric Water Heater Rebates
  • Rebates are available to members who are replacing old water heater or who are building new homes.

Here are just a few of the programs we offer:

Natural Gas
Sierra stepped into the gap created when national providers pulled out of the Southwest. Today, we supply natural gas to resort hotels and casinos, metal casting companies, food processors and textile firms in California, Arizona and Nevada. These customers are saving as much as 30 percent on their natural gas purchases. And these savings are flowing directly to their bottom line.

Distributed generation/co-generation

WI-POWER® Rural Broadband Solutions for your high-speed Internet Service for Benson, Willcox, Sierra Vista and surrounding areas. Upload and download speeds are as fast as or faster than virtually every other broadband service available today. Available speeds for uploading and downloading range from 256K / 384K to 512K / 1.5M.

Whole House Surge Suppression
The program is a 36 month minimum lease that has an initial start-up fee of $59.95 with a monthly fee of $6.95. The monthly fee will continue as long as you want the warranty protection. The plug in modules have a life-time replacement and repair warranty and SSVEC will maintain the whole house module as long as you remain with the program. In all plans the inside modules are yours and SSVEC will own and maintain the Whole House device.

Electric "wood" stoves and fireplaces by Dimplex
Enjoy the comfort, convenience and good looks of an electric fireplace or stove from Dimplex. Units can operate with or without the built-in 1500 watt heater. Prices range from $500 to $2,000. Electric fireplace inserts are also available.

Internet
Triconet offers 24/7 technical support, unlimited online hours, local toll-free Internet access and E-mail accounts for $16.95 a month. The fee can be charged to a member’s electric bill.

Surge Suppression
Whole house surge suppression: For a $49.99 start up fee and $5.95 a month the program allows members to lease a whole house surge suppression module installed by Trico at the meter and surge suppression devices to be used on electrical appliances and other sensitive electrical equipment of their choice in their home
