McBride Moves to CFC President Post
Graham County EC Director Heads National Organization

HERNDON, VA—Reuben B. McBride, vice president of Graham County Electric Cooperative, Pima, Arizona, was elected to serve as president of the board of directors of the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation (CFC) following its annual meeting held in Atlanta, Georgia, in mid February.
CFC is a not-for-profit finance cooperative that serves the nation’s rural utility systems, the majority of which are electric cooperatives and their subsidiaries. With approximately $20 billion in assets, CFC provides its member-owners with an assured source of low-cost capital and state-of-the-art financial products and services.  
McBride is beginning his sixth year as a director of CFC and has served as chairman of the Audit Committee, secretary-treasurer and vice president.
McBride also serves the electric utility industry as president of the Arizona Electric Power Co-op. Inc. and chairman of the Executive Committee.
McBride is a member of the National Action Committee for Rural Electrification (ACRE) and Arizona ACRE. He also is a former director of the Arizona Farm Bureau; former member of the Governing Board of Pima Unified School District; a former director of the Arizona School Boards Association; and Troop Committee Chairman of Boy Scouts of America.
McBride is self-employed as a farmer and rancher who resides in Pima, Arizona, with his wife Sondra. He has a B.S. degree in animal science from the University of Arizona, College of Agriculture, and attended Eastern Arizona College.
